I just read your post Joseph Graumann Jr. ..... love love LOVE it! Joe says "drinking out of a travel coffee mug as a sign of hope.." And that got me to thinking....
What other things can we do that can be a sign of hope for others around us (online and not) and ourselves? Today I put on a little makeup and actually thought about what I was wearing. I'm also thinking of the youth I serve and planning summer programs. Some say there is no point to planning because we might not get to do it. Others say its important to be ready.
I agree. Yet....I am realizing that not only does planning cause us to think about the people involved, but it also is a movement of hope AND trust. Working in this way - acting for the direction you are HEADED rather than operating on the basis of where you've been - provides us with strength and hope - all powered by LOVE.
What will you do this summer? How will you be a part of your local community? Perhaps the simple act of looking with possibility, with love, as our lens can help us to be and see a sign of HOPE. Peace.
